Accessibility

How we make this website usable for everyone, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us.

What we aim for

We want every teacher to be able to plan, teach and manage their account here, whatever the way they use a computer or phone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most accessibility law points to.

What we have checked

In October 2026 we went through the website using only a keyboard: signing up and signing in, the library, Juliana’s page, the pose library, building a class plan, Read and Teach mode, exporting a PDF, and the account page. We fixed what we found:

  • Every page starts with a “Skip to content” link, and the class plan builder has one that jumps past the pose library to your sequence.
  • Poses can be reordered from the keyboard: focus a pose’s move handle and press the up or down arrow key. Each move is announced.
  • Dialogs take focus when they open, keep it inside until they close, close with Escape, and hand focus back to where you were. Escape never throws away a note you are still typing.
  • Every button and field has a name a screen reader can say, and the sign-up, sign-in, dharma talk and playlist forms read each error out with the field it belongs to.
  • Adding a pose from the library is announced, so you know where it went.

Color contrast is checked automatically every time we release a change.

What we know does not work yet

  • Downloaded PDFs are picture sequences, and a screen reader will read them poorly. The same class plan can be read on the website, in full, in Read mode.
  • Pose photos are described by the pose’s name, not by a description of the body position.
  • The phone app has not yet been tested with VoiceOver or TalkBack.
  • The Google and Apple sign-in buttons and the payment form are provided by Google, Apple and Stripe, and we cannot change how they behave. Instead of Google or Apple, you can always sign up and sign in with an email address and password.

Tell us

If something here is hard or impossible for you to use, email hello@yogasequencingstudio.com.
